These images show results of people using a 4M Kidzlabs Pinhole Camera. The exposures look to be quite long (even for medium ISO film such as Ilford HP5). The effects caused by the pinhole itself are a mile away from my usual camera, a DSLR.

For Christmas I was bought one of these Pin hole cameras. I've never used on of these before but the results that have been posted on to Flickr and other places are very interesting. The fact that the camera needs to be constructed could and a further dimension. Whether this type of imagery can be worked into the overall scope of this project needs to be investigated further.

Peter Mitchell

After lecture with Greg Lucas yesterday, an important but little known photographer, Peter Mitchell, was brought to my attention.

Peter Mitchell's photographs explores Leeds in the throws of major change during the 1970s, a period marked by construction and demolition. Mitchell's colour photography includes a valuable record of the demolition of the Quarry Hill flats. At the time a lorry driver, Mitchell regularly passed through the city, photographing construction workers, shop-owners and residents against a backdrop of crumbling buildings.

These pictures have resonance and are within the scope and concept of this project.

Further investigation into Mitchell's work is needed.

New Student Housing

This is an example of a new construction that had gone on a piece of land the had been derelict for years.

This particular building is going to be student accommodation and is one of a number of constructions by  Code student accommodation

The reason for this is due to it's proximity to De Montfort University.
